Traveling on your own can be a liberating and exciting opportunity that really does need to be experienced at least once in your lifetime. Whether you end up enjoying your time alone on the road or not, you’ll have ultimate control over your itinerary, and learn a lot about yourself and what you’re capable of along the way. No matter what the trip throws at you you’ll undoubtedly conquer it because, well, you have to. You’ll also get to know yourself better from lots of alone time, which for many is a supremely enjoyable experience.

This being said, solo female travel can also be a little bit scary — although with the right research, you’ll have the time of your life.

To help, Work the World has created the ultimate guide to solo female travel around the world with crucial tips on what to wear (for example, keep your shoulders covered when visiting Thai temples), where are the best places to meet people when traveling on your own and most importantly: how to stay safe and be aware of your surroundings.

Have a look at the infographic below for their top tips and get yourself out there and see the world. There’s so much waiting for you.

The most important part of traveling solo is that “you can have the best time and live life to the fullest all by yourself “without” any hindrances, and toxic companion with you that can ruin your traveling”.

Traveling can be such a liberating experience, and can really show you a lot about yourself. Talking with people who travel a lot, and have tips and tricks on how to do it safely is really important. You want to come back with a little bit of self discovery, and those who have gone and done it before will know in which direction to point you to do so.
