Camino Real Turistico Hotel in Puno, Peru, is actually a budget-hotel that offers private rooms and a four-bedroom dorm. With myriad services offered onsite and excellent free perks, this accommodation is a great place to stay in beautiful Puno. Atmosphere The place has a hotel-type feel, with sleek furniture and beautiful rooms overlooking the city. My bathroom had black and white marble and tiles, and the room had a TV, closet and various desks. The staff are very helpful, as well, as the receptionist helped me to print tour vouchers and plan an itinerary. Moreover, when I showed up a day before my reservation and they had no room, the man at the desk actually walked with me to another budget hotel to make sure I found a place to stay. Location The hotel is located a block from the main square, where you’ll find the beautiful – and purple – San Juan Church and a relaxing plaza. Moreover, you can walk to Lake Titicaca and Huajsapata Mountain. If you feel like taking a taxi, to get to the bus station, Lake Titicaca, or any other big sites,  will only cost you 2 to 5 soles (about .50 to $2). Free Perks Who doesn’t love free perks? At Camino Real Turistico Hotel, you’ll get free linens, towel, luggage room, internet, and WiFi. Moreover, free coca tea is offered all day long in the room and at the front desk. Each morning, guests will also get to enjoy an expansive buffet breakfast from 6:00 am, with ham, cheese, avocado,  fruits, breads, spreads, juices, cereals, and hot beverages.
