Summary: I went on a press trip with BeachBound, a company that curates unforgettable beach vacation experiences from over 70 seaside destinations. The trip consisted of staying at the Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort, which is one of their partners, and discussing the experience while also promoting BeachBound.
Strategy: To promote the brand, I shared a mix of photo and video content across social media during and after the trip. Moreover, I wrote an SEO-optimized blog post about my experience that highlighted BeachBound after the trip.
The blog post reached the top of page #1 in Google search results for its main keyword (“Punta Cana itinerary”) within six weeks of publication:
Additionally, I was able to get the blog post to rank for other valuable keywords, like “5 day Punta Cana itinerary”, “Punta Cana itinerary” and “5 days in Punta Cana”.
In terms of social reach, the content received:
- Twitter: 5702+ impressions and 1,074 engagements
- Instagram Feed: 8,256 plays (reels) + 872 likes + 221 comments
- Instagram Stories: 223 reach
- TikTok: 1637 plays
- Facebook: 4,440 reach + 479 engagements

The brand was so happy with the results, they invited me on another press trip campaign, this time to visit Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach in Cancún, Mexico.
For this campaign, I produced a blog post sharing a 7-day Cancun itinerary, which landed in Google’s top search result for its main keyword (among other keywords) and was syndicated by Microsoft.
