0-10 Points: Not Quite There Yet..But Don’t Give Up!. This doesn’t mean you’re doomed at becoming a travel blogger. It just means you’re not quite ready to take the plunge. Maybe you’re unsure if it’s for you, or maybe you just don’t have a solid idea yet for a blog. That’s okay. Professional blogging is a constant learning process, as even when you feel like you’ve mastered it, the industry is constantly changing. If you’re not ready to completely invest yourself in professional travel blogging, I recommend starting with a free WordPress.com blog just to play around with as a hobby, to get to know yourself and your goals a bit more. You may also want to opt for my beginner “How To Start A Blog” class or one of my budget-friendly pro-blogging webinars (starting at less than $10!) that you can watch on your own time.

11-20 Points: You’re At The Halfway Point. Sure, you’ve got some ideas stewing, but you’re not quite sure what to do with them, or if you’ve quite hit the nail on the head yet. Maybe you even have a blog already. No worries, as halfway there means you’ve only got halfway to go. What I recommend doing right now is making a list of your top 10 favorite blogs and start writing out a pro/con list. What do you love about these blogs? What don’t you like? What could you do better? How? You may also want to think about re-branding your blog to portray an image you feel more passionate about. I’d also suggest heading over to my Do You Want To Be A Travel Blogger? page for everything you’ll need to take you to the next level.

21-30 Points: You’re Ready To Go Pro! You’ve got solid ideas and are passionate about making travel blogging a reality. It’s this drive that’s ultimately going to push you to succeed. Now, it’s time to focus on (re)defining your strategy, increasing your following, and experimenting with new ways to create engaging content and grow your brand. A few posts to get you thinking include Creating A Community With Your Readers and Building A Community With Others In Your Field. Moreover, I’m recommend checking out my advanced How To Create A Blog That Makes Money class as well as my ProBlogging page.
