In this week’s Travel ASMR video I’m coming to you live from my apartment in Brooklyn, New York. We’ll be focusing on map crafts with a soft spoken DIY project. For me, this is a great way to get excited for an upcoming trip and veg out when I need to clear my head. Some ASMR triggers used in this video include soft speaking, tapping and crinkling. This soft spoken video showcases actual advice for map crafts, so along with relaxing you I hope this video helps you get creative. My inspiration for the project came from this blog post from DaWanda. The post is written in German so I couldn’t read it; however, the pictures gave me a pretty good idea of how the writers did the craft. From there I added my own twist, ASMR style.

Supplies used in the map crafts ASMR video above include:

  • A map (such as this one)
  • Scissors
  • Tape or a glue stick
  • A frame (like this one)
  • A sheet of blank white paper
  • Marker(s) / Pen(s)
  • Your imagination!

What Is ASMR?

If you’ve never seen an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) video before it may be a bit weird at first, as ASMR is a phenomenon not everyone experiences; however, those of us who do know how powerful it can be for stress relief, inducing sleep and relaxation through whisper / soft speaking, gentle touches and tingle-worthy sounds. You can read more about ASMR here, as well as how I use it to relax on the road here. As always, comments are appreciated under the video in YouTube. And if you like what you see, please subscribe!
