Wondering how to plan a trip smarter? This summer 2016 I was asked to speak at the first ever iSugar Live in NYC. The Ted Talk-style conference invited influencers and content creators in blogging, social media, live video and wellness to come speak and share their stories. For those that couldn’t attend in person the entire event was streamed live on isugar.live, where it resides today.

What You’ll Learn

My presentation on how to plan a trip and what to pack to travel smarter can be seen above. In the video I provide a 10-step approach to travel planning, followed by a show-and-tell of some of my favorite carry-on items for safety, health and photography. In the beginning you’ll also hear my story of how I became a full-time travel blogger, despite family and friends urging me to use my Master’s Degree in Communication to get a “real job” (aka a 9-to-5 with two weeks vacation a year). I hope if nothing else this presentation teaches you that you don’t need to listen to societal norms. Follow your dreams instead of the crowd!
