Before heading anywhere it’s important to do a little research on local traditions and customs to make sure you’re acting in a respectable manner.
And this includes hand gestures.
In order to have a successful trip it’s important to assimilate into the culture — or at least avoid offending the locals. To help you make friends instead of enemies, I’m sharing this interesting infographic of rude hand gestures from around the world. Hint: greeting someone by shaking with your left hand is not always appropriate!
