Bars in New York City That Serve Free Food, Part II

free food in new york cityI hope you all enjoyed my first list of bars and restaurants that serve free food in New York City. Because I got such a positive response on that post, I decided to make the list even longer with MORE bars that serve free food in NYC:

Gemma at the Bowery Hotel

Everyday from 4PM-7PM at Gemma’s, guests can enjoy their new aperitivo, including delicious Italian specialties such as Goat Cheese Stuffed Martini Olives, Polenta with Roasted Wild Mushrooms, and Speck Wrapped Asparagus.

Located at 335 Bowery in between 2nd and 3rd, East Village

Crocodile Lounge

Just like it’s sister bar, the Alligator Lounge, this bar serves free pizza with the purchase of any drink. The great thing about this place is there is no time constraint, so patrons can enjoy a free meal morning, noon, or night.

325 E. 14th St., between 1st and 2nd, Gramercy/East Village

The Brazen Head

Purchase a beer at this Brooklyn bar and receive free wings, every Monday at 5PM. A bonus is that brews are a $1 off during happy hour, making for an inexpensive night of dinner and drinks.

The Watering Hole

On weekdays, enjoy a free buffet after work from 5:30-6:30. While the food changes each week, you can expect cuisine such as pasta, pizza, chicken wings, fries, and more. Making this feast even better is that it overlaps with happy hour, which is from 3PM-7PM.

106 E. 19th St., between Park Ave. S. and Irving Plaza, Gramercy

The Mark Bar

Another great bar with the daily complimentary pizza special (From 6PM) is this laid back venue. Hungover on Sunday? Stop in for free bagels and coffee at noon.

1025 Manhattan Ave., Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Darbar Grill

This authentic-India restaurant offers free vegetarian appetizers at the bar, daily, from 5PM-8PM. Nosh on some vegetable samosas as you sip discounted cocktails and $4 brews.

Agozar!

This Cuban restaurant offers a buy one, get one free type of deal everyday from 5PM-8PM. Diners who purchase a drink can either get another drink free (liquid diet, anyone?) or free tapas.

Ancora Ristorante

For those looking for more of an upscale experience, you must try this Italian restaurant. Not only will you receive impeccable service, guests in the dining room also receive an antipasto before their meal, including aged parmesan cheese, salami and spicy sautéed zucchini. After the meal, patrons are offered free homemade Grappa flavored with seasonal fruits.
