Photo Essay: Hiking To Upper Boulder Lake In Breckenridge, Colorado
In Breckenridge, Colorado, there are myriad Rocky Mountain hikes to experience. After doing numerous ones myself, one of my favorites is the trek to Upper Boulder Lake.
This moderate hike is about six miles each way, with a combination of uphill climbs, and downhill slopes. The altitude takes you to about 11,000 feet, so make sure to take your time, enjoy the scenery and drink lots of water.
You’ll be rewarded at the end of the journey with a colorful lake and forest view that looks like something Bob Ross would have painted (shown above).
